ABOUT THE ARTIST

Growing up in a family of avid hunters, Clete has been hunting and fishing all of his life.  Having many of his own trophies mounted ignited his interest in starting his own business. 

Clete is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Institute of Taxidermy in Ebensburg, PA.  He holds a Pennsylvania Taxidermy License and a Migratory Bird License. 

Clete has competed at various professional division state taxidermy competitions in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.  In 2004 he won the Polytranspar award at the PA show for a golden trout.  At the 2008 Pa show he won a blue ribbon and best of category in the professional division with a brown trout earning him his Master's certificate.  He has also won various ribbons at every show he has attended. 

Clete's experitise extends well beyond American wildlife to include animals from Canada, Mexico, Africa, New Zealand, Russia, and Argentina.
